Plemont Bay Pontins

Plemont Bay Pontins Holiday Village

Plemont Bay Holiday Village closed in 2000 after the death of Sir Fred Pontin. It opened in 1960 as a Pontins site after Sir Fred pretty much demolished the existing holiday village and built what can still be seen today.

In August 2006, BDK Architects working on behalf of the current owner Trevor Hemmings have designed 36 homes in granite & render. The plans include taking the developments further back from the cliffs and a 40% reduction in built landscape in comparison to the existing buildings.

It’s future is uncertain, the people of Jersey want the headland returned to nature, with the complex demolished and the area landscaped.
