Hohlgangsanlage 4 Munitions Storage Tunnel

Ho.4 was originally constructed as a ration storage facility although the interrogation report below would indicate it stored ammunition in the latter part of the war. Following the war it has had a number of occupiers.

Shortly after the liberation Jersey New Waterworks Company Limited took over both the tunnel and the area around for external storage of large pipes and fittings. Jersey Water do not utilise the full tunnel complex due to the poor ventilation inside. In the past some workers were using a petrol compressor in the tunnels and were overcome by fumes.
